ADDP Dental Reference Guide
The ADDP Dental Reference Guide is designed to provide you and your office staff with information about the Active Duty Dental Program (ADDP). While it is not intended to be the sole legal basis for contract/benefit interpretation, it will be your reference guide for eligibility, coverage, policies, procedures, procedure codes, claims and payments.
Familiarity with the concepts in this manual and United Concordia procedures and policies will ensure proper and efficient administration of the ADDP. If you find anything in this guide which you feel is unclear, please contact your Professional Relations Representative.
CDT 2020 Procedure Code Update
Effective January 1, 2020, UCCI will use CDT 2020 procedure codes. Providers can submit claims using these codes for dates of service on or after January 1, 2020.
Connection Newsletters
One of the most important ways we communicate with dentists and their office staff is through our newsletter, the Connection. This newsletter is designed to:
- Advise dental offices of new dental policies and procedures or changes to existing policies
- Present guidelines for accurate and timely claims submission
- Inform dentists and their staff of new benefits and guidelines
- Provide corporate updates
The Connection is distributed to all participating dentists quarterly, and is considered official notification for ADDP policy and procedure changes.

Appointment Availability
United Concordia is committed to ensuring active duty service members have timely access to a routine dental appointment. Our goal is to maintain a diverse and stable network so that our enrollees will be able to receive dental care at a convenient location and time.
Active duty service members must be able to obtain a routine general dentist appointment, with a network dentist, within 21 calendar days of their request. Furthermore, specialty consultations must be provided within the 28-day ADDP timeliness requirement and emergency treatment should be provided within a 24-hour timeliness requirement.
If you are unable to meet these availability standards, please notify United Concordia at (888) 286-8454. Thank you for your cooperation.
